Queen's Feast Menu
For the entire month of July, Mez will offer a special three-course prix fixe menu for $30, plus tax and gratuity. Debuting during the Queen’s Feast Charlotte Restaurant Week, the menu presents an affordable opportunity to sample the cuisine of new chef Anoosh Shariat. The prix fixe menu is available for dinner from 5 to 10 p.m. For reservations, call (704) 971-2400.
Chef Shariat comes to Charlotte from Louisville, where he has garnered a stellar reputation. He has been honored with a “best chef” recognition by Louisville Magazine and his food has been described as a “flawless delight” by The Courier-Journal food critic who gave his restaurant her highest rating, four stars. In addition, Anoosh has been featured in Food Arts, USA Today, Gourmet, Food and Wine, The New York Daily News and Southern Living. He was also the first chef from Kentucky to appear on the Food Network.

July Prix Fixe Menu

First course (choice of one)

- Boston Bibb Wedge with buttermilk basil dressing, applewood smoked bacon, Gorgonzola and cherry tomatoes

- Lump Crab Cake with lemon caper beurre blanc and petite herb salad

Second course (choice of one)

- Grilled Butcher Steak with roasted fingerling potatoes and oyster mushroom ragoût, arugula pesto and red wine gastrique

- Ginger Rubbed Pan Roasted Chilean Sea Bass with sweet potato and apple hash and coconut curry emulsion

- Roasted Ashley Farms Chicken with spring succotash, saffron orzo and pomegranate glaze

- Roasted Vegetable Lasagna with rosemary eggplant, piquillo peppers, summer squash, oven-dried tomatoes and garlic spinach

Third course (choice of one)

- Mocha Tartlet with caramelized pears and hazelnut brittle

- Vanilla Semifreddo with summer cherry compote and almond cookie
